The most part of the reviewer defined this work “Les Jumeaux Discordants is musically and spiritually in the tradition of Italian ritualistic and electronic formations like T.A.C. or KIRLIAN CAMERA”s “Schmerz”-period. Using heavy percussions, one can expect the right mixture that made famous Les Joyaux de la Princesse, Camerat Mediolanense, Les Sentiers Conflictuels, Blood Axis, early Laibach or Dead Can Dance.”

After more than a year, Athanor strikes back with the first full time release from italian duo Les Jumeaux Discordants. Sang pour Sang is the second opus from LJD after a sold out and acclaimed EP on HauRuck!SPQR/Misty Circles. The recording is based on the ancient concepts of Katàbasis and Anàbasis and is divided in two sections: the first is made by obscure and sinister atmospheres; the second is more lyrical. Musically Sang pour Sang is the perfect balance between the best neoclassical ambiances and martial industrial with an Art Nouveau’s touch.

This is the debut album of Les Jumeaux Discordants which saw the light thanks to SPQR and Misty Circles.
The CD, published in 100 copies and reprinted in another 100 copies for the second edition, contains 6 tracks and a ghost track titled “Nursery”.
Album defined by reviewers as “neoclassical and ritual”, it will see its completion in “Sang pour Sang” produced by the French label Athanor Ars Regia. However, not all the tracks are present on the first CD of the duo AimA and Roberto del Vecchio. Therefore this EP is palatable for such collectors.
